Marine Systems Technicians

.webp)
Marine Systems Technicians are the industry's 'masters of all trades'.
They use their broad knowledge of boat systems to outfit a bare hull, converting it to a high-performance, ocean-going machine.
To complete the vessel-wide installation of systems including engines, engineering, navigation and control and ship-board living appliances requires expertise in marine plumbing, electrical, and mechanical fields.
All this important work is completed on-site by our leading team of technicians, including extensive sea trials and testing before a proudly completed vessel is handed to an owner.
The best Marine Systems technicians are detail focused and versatile with a desire to learn continuously.
For applicants, a qualification or background in marine fit-out and servicing is favoured. However, we train enthusiastic team members towards a range of qualifications through a range of apprenticeship programs.
Qualifications:
We train team members towards any or all of the following qualifications
- New Zealand Certificate in Marine Systems – Systems Engineering
- New Zealand Certificate in Power Boat Systems Servicing and Repair (Technician)
- New Zealand Certificate in Marine Electrical – Electronics
